Moong dal

Ingredients:


  • Yellow Moong Dal / Pasi Paruppu - 1 cup
  • Onion - 2 large chopped
  • Tomatoes - 2 large chopped
  • Green Chilli - 2 or to taste
  • Garlic - 10 cloves(chopped finely)
  • Salt to taste
  • Turmeric powder / Manjal podi - 1 tsp
  • Sambar podi  - 1 tspn
  • Ghee / Clarified Butter - 1 tblspn

  • Coriander leaves / Cilantro - a big handful chopped
  • lemon - 1
  • Masala
  • cloves - 3
  • star anise - 1
  • bay leaf - 1
  • cardmom pods - 2
  • fennel - 1tspn
  • oil - 4 spoon

Method:

  

    Add washed moong dal, salt and turmeric in pressure cooker and make 2 whistle.
   Then put same pressure cooker without dal , put oil and all masalas, garlic, onion, green chilli let them saute for two mins.
   Then, put tomatoes saute very well then put cooked dal salt and make 1 wistle again.
   Finally put corriander, lemonjuice, and half spoon ghee..
   Serves with chapathi and poori...
